Verify download provenance

WQC does not use commercial CA code-signing certificates. Each release asset is bound to the GitHub Actions build with Artifact Attestations (Sigstore). After downloading:

gh attestation verify wqc-miner-linux-x64.tar.gz -R world-qc/wqc-miner

Replace the filename with your OS asset. SmartScreen / Gatekeeper prompts may still appear; attestation verify is the intended trust check.

Advanced: build from source

Prefer building yourself or packaging for Docker? See the wqc-miner README (includes a systemd / --auto-start example) and wqc-node.

  1. Create a wallet and copy your Node Key.
  2. Paste the Node Key into the miner admin UI, or set node_key in settings.toml.
  3. Set a memory budget (about half of system RAM is a good start).
  4. Press Start, or enable auto_start / --auto-start for headless hosts.
